Looking for local ethical winter wear that supports a worthwhile cause? Have an interest in donating or gifting this holiday season in a way that will make a big impact?
Jackets for Jasper is a tiny business run by Liz and Len out of their home in North Vancouver, BC. All after-tax profits from the sale of jackets goes toward the education of children in Nepal.
These are not your ordinary jackets! We have adopted an “every colour” policy, we are proud of our unique products and of the fact that we are using material that was considered one person’s “trash” and turning it into treasure: beautiful jackets and education for Resmi and Jasper. By buying our jackets, you not only help to send Jasper and Resmi to school, but also support a small family-run outdoor gear company in Nepal. You may shop online or you may also shop in person every day of the week at Deep Cove Outdoors. We are have a limited number of jackets this season – some colours only have 2 or 3 jackets per size – and when they’re gone, they’re gone until next winter. http://jacketsforjasper.com/pages/our-story

Thank you very much for posting about us – I just found your blog today. Very nice of you to spread the word. We had a very successful season and now that all our friends and manufacturing team are safe and somewhat settled, post-earthquakes, in Nepal, we are ramping up to do it all over again in November 2015! Cheers!
